Loss Prevention for Self Checkout or Lane POS​

Edgify's Loss Prevention product is a robust, established solution which minimises front-end shrink across all store sizes and formats. It builds upon the foundation laid by our BLIR technology:

  • Integration with Existing Systems: Utilizing the same hardware as BLIR, such as the USB camera, this product further capitalizes on your existing investment, ensuring a cost-effective loss prevention solution.
  • AI-Powered Detection / Intervention: The system employs advanced AI to recognise loss events. It activates when there's an attempt to switch expensive barcodes for cheap ones, when a customer tries to end their transaction with unpaid items still in the shopping cart, and when an item is altogether not scanned. Once loss is detected, the POS integration can then initiate an appropriate intervention.

  • Non-scans: Items moved straight into the bagging area without being scanned.
  • Barcode/Ticket Switching: Attempts to replace or disguise the barcode on a high-priced item with a cheaper one.
  • Left in Cart: Unscanned items which remain in the shopping cart after a transaction is finished.
