Loss Prevention for Self Checkout​

Edgify's Loss Prevention product is a robust solution designed to minimize losses across all store sizes and types. It builds upon the foundation laid by our BLIR technology:

  • Integration with Existing Systems: Utilizing the same hardware as BLIR, such as the USB cameras, this product further capitalizes on your existing investment, ensuring a cost-effective loss prevention solution.
  • AI-Powered Detection: The system employs advanced AI to recognize non-scanned items. It activates when there's an attempt to pass an item but a different barcode is scanned instead, or when an item is altogether not scanned. This triggers a flow in the POS software, which can then initiate an appropriate intervention.

Shopper Flow​

Our system enhances the integrity of the checkout process:

  • Flagging Irregularities: If a shopper or cashier attempts to scan a different barcode for a guarded item, Edgify's system flags the irregularity.
  • Prompt Intervention: The system's alert mechanism enables either self-resolution by the shopper or rapid intervention by a store attendant. This ensures that any issues are resolved swiftly, maintaining a smooth shopping experience.

Minimal Hardware Requirements​

The loss prevention product requires minimal additional hardware, mainly a simple USB camera. Retailers with existing BLIR systems can easily integrate this product, leveraging their current hardware setup.

AI-Driven Software​

The AI component of the software continuously learns to recognize guarded items through barcode scanning, further enhancing the system's effectiveness.
